Ceramic & Textile Painting Classes – Explore the Fattoria di Montemaggio Estate!
While exploring the vineyards of Montemaggio with your wine tour and degustation, take in a little more local culture with one of our classes. We offer painting on textiles or ceramics as well as cooking classes, because art and culture are very important values here at Montemaggio. For this reason, we try and transmit the culture of our territory by organizing painting classes on ceramics or textile, such as linen and silk, with the wine as a central theme.
CERAMICS OR TEXTILE PAINTING CLASSES
You will get to select the piece for which you will start your work of art. We have a nice selection of ceramic plates and tiles for your ceramics class as well as various textiles such as silk, linens, cotton and etc depending upon your preferences and budget.
Once you have your selected ceramic or textile for which to paint, you will be guided into a creativity process lead by a local artist that will help you to create your personal and original work.
The end result is completely up to you and your imagination, because you are free to paint whatever you like. Feel free to take a little bit of Italy home with you by painting an object or some landscape elements that surround Montemaggio area such as the sinuous and gentle hills of Chianti Classico, the magnificent trees and indigenous plants and vineyards, the silent and ancient woods or our enchanting garden, whatever inspires you! Of course, should you need a little guidance, our artists would be happy to assist with some other ideas or inspiration.
Once complete, our artists will then take your ceramics and ensure they are heated in their special kiln to seal your ceramics and then the textiles will be ironed or heated appropriately to set your piece of art.
This is a great activity for those who are staying in the area for a few days or maybe someone who is staying in our amazing Tuscan Villa.
€ 50 euro per person (2 hours)*
*We require a minimum of 5 participants, not available during the weekends and festivities.
Feel free to pair your textile or ceramic painting class with a wine tasting tour and degustation or another experience.
